International stocks trading in New York closed lower on Tuesday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 1.4% to 155.38. The European index fell 1.4% to 138.43. The Asian index declined 1.6% to 208.34. The Latin American index decreased 0.9% to 171.18. And the emerging-markets index fell 1.8% to 341.72.
JinkoSolar Holding Co. was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
JinkoSolar Holding Co. issued a weak fourth-quarter outlook. Total revenue for the third quarter declined 2.3% from the prior year, which the company attributed to fewer solar module shipments. Executives also pointed to higher production costs and delays related to “logistical issues and blockages,” which have led to higher prices for solar modules, Barron’s reported. ADRs fell 7% to 52.28.
RedHill Biopharma Ltd.’s ADRs closed up 4% at $2.92 after the company reported third-quarter financial results and said it accelerated two advanced Covid-19 pill clinical programs due to their potential against the Omicron variant.
