Gold set for weekly gain
Gold was lower on Thursday, but prices were heading for a second consecutive weekly gain. The Ukraine crisis and broadening inflationary pressures lifted the metal’s appeal. U.S. gold futures were at $1,9878. The metal has gained about 1.7% so far in the week, according to Reuters. Markets will be closed for Good Friday.
Gas prices continue to slide
The average price for a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. slipped on Thursday to $4.074, according to the latest numbers from AAA. The price on Wednesday was $4.083. The previous record high was $4.33, set on Friday March 11, 2022.
