Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 3.33%, while the index gained 3.06%, and the index gained 2.56%.
The best performers of the session on the were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 6.69% or 9.34 points to trade at 148.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) added 5.45% or 0.44 points to end at 8.57 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) was up 5.28% or 5.26 points to 104.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:), which fell 0.63% or 0.40 points to trade at 62.92 at the close. Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) added 1.18% or 0.57 points to end at 49.03 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) was up 1.49% or 0.67 points to 45.67.
The top performers on the MDAX were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 6.62% to 6.99, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 6.28% to settle at 5.79 and Sixt SE (ETR:) which gained 5.97% to close at 102.10.
The worst performers were Encavis AG (ETR:) which was down 2.04% to 20.60 in late trade, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 0.11% to settle at 53.96 and Vantage Towers AG (ETR:) which was up 0.16% to 25.46 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 6.70% to 39.20, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was up 5.56% to settle at 69.25 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 5.13% to close at 28.26.
The worst performers were Vantage Towers AG (ETR:) which was up 0.16% to 25.46 in late trade, Suse SA (ETR:) which gained 0.67% to settle at 19.50 and 11 AG (ETR:) which was up 0.94% to 16.16 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 524 to 143 and 87 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 10.20% to 26.24.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.93% or 15.85 to $1,725.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.10% or 0.95 to hit $87.56 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.44% or 1.33 to trade at $93.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.45% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 109.53.
