Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 2.51% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index added 2.43%, and the index climbed 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the were Adidas AG (ETR:), which rose 21.38% or 20.09 points to trade at 114.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) added 9.49% or 4.70 points to end at 54.20 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was up 7.55% or 2.48 points to 35.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Qiagen NV (ETR:), which fell 1.65% or 0.72 points to trade at 42.87 at the close. Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) declined 0.96% or 1.60 points to end at 164.25 and Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:) was down 0.75% or 1.20 points to 158.65.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which rose 8.13% to 2.05, GEA Group AG (ETR:) which was up 7.44% to settle at 37.11 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 7.05% to close at 35.22.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 9.69% to 20.50 in late trade, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) which lost 5.28% to settle at 154.20 and Encavis AG (ETR:) which was down 0.88% to 19.05 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which rose 4.70% to 2.32, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.67% to settle at 25.76 and Varta AG (ETR:) which gained 4.65% to close at 28.58.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 9.69% to 20.50 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 6.61% to settle at 22.60 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) which was down 1.65% to 42.87 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 467 to 213 and 75 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.32% to 23.24 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.85% or 46.45 to $1,677.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 4.15% or 3.66 to hit $91.83 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 3.49% or 3.30 to trade at $97.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.70% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.50% at 111.11.
