Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.23%, while the index fell 0.40%, and the index added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens AG Class N (ETR:), which rose 6.98% or 8.46 points to trade at 129.58 at the close. Meanwhile, MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) added 4.34% or 7.80 points to end at 187.35 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:) was up 2.08% or 2.25 points to 110.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Continental AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.33% or 1.92 points to trade at 55.74 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:) declined 3.00% or 0.96 points to end at 31.01 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was down 2.60% or 4.70 points to 176.40.
The top performers on the MDAX were Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which rose 5.18% to 8.56, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 3.38% to settle at 29.02 and Befesa SA (ETR:) which gained 3.37% to close at 39.82.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 6.41% to 24.23 in late trade, Kion Group AG (ETR:) which lost 3.16% to settle at 26.97 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 2.76% to 63.30 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 4.17% to 15.00, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 3.39% to settle at 57.90 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 3.38% to close at 29.02.
The worst performers were Varta AG (ETR:) which was down 2.75% to 29.00 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which lost 2.27% to settle at 19.40 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.46% to 19.53 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 385 to 289 and 79 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.24% to 22.90.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.74% or 13.10 to $1,762.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.29% or 3.67 to hit $81.92 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.96% or 2.75 to trade at $90.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 106.69.
