Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 2.40%, while the index climbed 1.89%, and the index gained 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:), which rose 5.27% or 1.33 points to trade at 26.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:) added 5.16% or 2.91 points to end at 59.28 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was up 5.05% or 1.16 points to 24.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:), which fell 0.86% or 0.17 points to trade at 19.38 at the close. Qiagen NV (ETR:) declined 0.19% or 0.09 points to end at 46.33 and RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) was up 0.27% or 0.11 points to 41.61.
The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 6.34% to 9.39, Duerr AG (ETR:) which was up 6.26% to settle at 22.40 and Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 5.19% to close at 39.70.
The worst performers were Encavis AG (ETR:) which was down 1.23% to 21.61 in late trade, Befesa SA (ETR:) which lost 1.07% to settle at 38.82 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.02% to 58.36 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 6.55% to 19.68, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 4.84% to settle at 22.95 and Kontron AG (ETR:) which gained 3.25% to close at 16.52.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 3.66% to 52.60 in late trade, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which lost 2.92% to settle at 68.15 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.02% to 58.36 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 488 to 186 and 85 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.34% to 25.71.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.74% or 12.75 to $1,741.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.39% or 1.21 to hit $88.00 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.37% or 1.27 to trade at $94.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.97% to 1.01, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 107.89.
